Saturn and Japan's Economy

During the first opposition of Saturn and Uranus on November 4, 2008, Japan announced that they are in recession. Weeks after this same planetary configuration on February 5 Japan announced that its economy shrank 12.7% in the past year. This is the sharpest drop in Japan's economy since 1970 according to Marketwatch. Unfortunately for Japan, this cycle of weakness isn't going to be over until at least its Progressed Moon moves out of its 12th house in about two years time.

As stated previously Japan's strength is symbolized by Uranus- the planet of science and manufacturing (machines). On February 22, Saturn will square Japan's Uranus. Saturn, is the planet of restriction. This is another indication that the heavens above mirror the events on earth below - or vice versa.
